The hat is treated to keep away mosquitoes, ticks and other outdoor biting insects. Take this hat camping, fishing and hiking and enjoy the extra protection the cape offers from the elements or roll up the shield with its Velcro closures for a more traditional look. This hat is machine washable and guaranteed not to shrink. It is also treated to be water repellant and is tested to block 98% of UVA/UVB rays while staying cool with its mesh vented crown.
